We were extremely pleased with GRO’s green roof that was installed at two of the offices we recently developed. It was a creative way to enhance and soften the look and feel of our outdoor courtyard areas. We had some concerns that maintenance may be an issue, but have been pleasantly surprised with how little has been involved. We’ve been so pleased that we’re now having them provide a green wall for another office we are developing.

They gave us several options on how to best complete our job as well as information that we didn't find on the Internet. Our modules were delivered by the grower as soon as the season permitted with a very complete manual on how to care for the plants in years to come. This company is tops in our book!
Dealing with Green Roof Outfitters during the pre-construction phase was extremely easy to do. They handled all of the trucking and scheduling and had everything arrive when we needed it. The green roof trays are easy to handle and lay down very quickly, and the ipe pavers and deck pedestals are top notch.
Green Roof Outfitters (GRO) modules have been grown in my nursery for several years. The extensive green roof plants seem to grow very well in them. Since GRO introduced the 1x2 module, I have additionally started to use them to grow all my mother plants that are used for making cuttings.

They provide an excellent product and were able collaborate on the incorporation of native plantings in the green roof cells. I purchased a green roof for my shed last year, to compliment our house in Freeport, Maine. The house is a LEED Platinum certified structure, and I wanted a test of the roof to see how it would do. It survived the BRUTAL Maine winter and we are very pleased with the results. I highly recommend the product if it can make it at this latitude.
GRO’s modular system cut our typical installation time in half! The plants were already established and healthy, so our upfront maintenance and labor time was nothing. The systems we installed are still looking good years later.
